Rituals and Special Summoning

Hey, while trying to create a deck on Decks for Free!, I came across an interesting idea.

Is it possible to special summon Ritual Monsters besides Ritual Summoning? (eg - Shinato of the Higher Plane being special summoned via Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen)

Ritual Monsters can only be Special Summoned from the hand by the appropriate Ritual Spell card. Afterwards, if they are in the grave, or have been removed from play, you may use any other means to Special Summon them.

So, it's similar to "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be special summoned except by..."?

Correct, just like Synchro and Fusion Monsters.
